Whether you or someone you love is affected by mental illness, NAMI can offer you help and hope. Support groups provide friendship and understanding in a caring and sharing atmosphere. Talking with others who have been there can help provide you with insight, knowledge and coping skills.  

With NAMI, you are not alone.

NAMI-MC SUPPORT GROUPS

In Crystal Lake support groups sessions follow the program portion of the monthly meeting, which is held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at the McHenry County Mental Health Board, 620 Dakota St., Crystal Lake, at 7:00 p.m.

NAMI Connection is a recovery support group for people with mental illness in which the participants learn from each other's experiences, share coping strategies, and offer each other encouragement and understanding.  The group, which is led by trained consumers, meets from 2:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.on the following schedule:

  • Every Monday @ 4100 Veterans Parkway, McHenry

  • Every Wednesday @ 620 Dakota Street, Crystal Lake

  • Every Friday @ 527 South Street, Woodstock
