How to participate in our walkathon

To get started, register online here or print out a registration form on the DOWNLOADS page.

1. Organize a Walk Team. Please email us at cratchford@sbcglobal.net for an informational packet that will be sent out to you. 

2. Walk as an individual

3. Sponsor the Event 

4. Volunteer: We always welcome extra hands and help!  Please contact Cindy in our office at (815) 344-8300 or cratchford@sbcglobal.net if you would like to help out.
 

Why we walk


Each walker has their own reason for participating in the NAMI-MC Walk. Would you consider sharing your story with
cratchford@sbcglobal.net?  We may end up featuring your story in the Newline, NAMI-MCs newsletter, or on our website.  

Perhaps you have a family member or other loved one who has struggled with mental illness, or perhaps you have mental illness yourself. Some people participate because they appreciate the powerful emotion of being one of many, united in the fight against mental illness. Others do so because it’s a chance to get out in the great outdoors and exercise in the company of co-workers, family and friends, walking together for a worthy cause.
